5th wheel clearance-

OK, I sold the fifth wheel trailer, don't need this tailgate any longer, time to let someone else enjoy it. It will fit a 2nd gen dually, I have no idea what else it will fit. Sure looks sharp!

I like that tailgate. You must have paid a bundle for it.

Might be interested in it. Would have to figure out how to get it to CT if I bought it. Perhaps another TDR member on a trip. Need it for this:

I had Grizzly just wrap some cardboard around it and sent it by my Fed Ex account to me, did not seem to be too stiff a fee. You might try uShip - The Online Shipping Marketplace - Ship Freight, Furniture, Vehicles or Moves or ShipGooder: Courier Rate Search, Shipping Rate Search for FedEx, UPS, DHL and the United States Postal Service. I had some excellent results with UShip previously. Costs nothing to get offers.

How about some pictures of those stacks posted up buddy! It's not often we see stacks on the outside of the bed! :)

JD,

You know, in looking through my photo albums, I find plenty of truck pics, but none with close ups of the stacks. These are about the best it gets now. I'll take some close ups soon and put them up here for you.

They are on the outside for 2 reasons. 1) I LOVE the Dodge Lil' Red Express Truck from the late '70s. ('77-78?) This is what was on that truck and where I got the idea. 2) Can't fit a full bed load of anything with the stacks in there. I use it to move firewood to heat my home and wanted the extra space in the bed. Also, I didn't want logs rolling around in there hitting the stacks.

Don,

I'll check into the shipping before going any further. Thanks for the suggestions.

Wow, that is really neat pipes! Can't see them in my future though, the pickup camper would not like them at all. That would seem to be the only proper way to do it if you have a dually though.

Don,

It occured to me that I can't check into shipping rates without some info from you. Approximate dimentions and weight I would think I need to get a shipping quote.

Also, maybe you could PM me with what you're looking to get for it.

Thanks

Check your PM's!

Don,

I've checked a few places for shipping and am waiting for one more quote to come in before I make my decision. It's not going to be as outrageous as I thought. I figured that due to it's dimensions it would be $100-200 to ship but I wasn't even close. I'm getting quotes between $25 and $40. Not too bad.

Yeah, as near as I can recall, it was somewhere in the $35-40 range for me by Fed Ex. Compared to what Grizz had to pay for it new, quite a bargain!
