Picked up our DS Ram last night in NorCal and brought her home. Had a transport company bring it part way for us. Great communications with the driver and delivered it without a bump or scratch.

Can't believe I bought an auto transmission, but it sure is nice to drive. Now on to figuring out all the buttons.

It's a good looking truck. But I've never seen an owner of a new truck last long before they start tweaking it to personal choices and performance. May I ask ... what's next ?

^^ No performance add-ons for me. Keeping it all stock for now. Drove it home from Northern Ca early this morning and for me, it's 110% better than my former 3rd gen. At this point, I have bought some trinket stuff like Wet Okle seat covers, Husky floor mats, dash cover etc etc. I have a BW goose hitch to install and I also bought the clearance lamp kit. Not sure I have the courage to drill into the sheet metal yet, but I'm thinking about it. I build headache racks for my trucks, so I might get to start that next week. It will look sorta like the last one I made.

Don't sweat the hitch install, it's real easy.....

Nice! I just sold my 04.5 with the nv-5600... I WONT MISS IT! The auto is so much nicer..... Old truck pulled hill leaving town at 52... New truck pull same trailer at 65 up the hill...thinking I should have got a long bed..... But there were none....

^^^ Not too many long beds in Ca to pick from either. Pretty much everything I liked was somewhere other than where we lived.

Jhawes:
What are the lights in the rear bumper of your 3rd generation? Backup or auxiliary for hitching, etc..... Do you remember which ones you had installed?

Those lights looked better than they worked. Just standard oval LED trailer lights wired through a toggle switch. They were not very bright for backing up or hitching.

Thanks w6pea. This coming week, I have to get her weighed, SMOG and finish up with the DMV. Dave Smith sent all doc's for us to settle up with the state. Couldn't be made any easier for us.
