2001 6spd H. O. with Van AAken Box, Guages and BHAF.

Want to get some injectors. I am most likely going to stop bombing for a long time after injectors. I usually don't Haul over 6,000#'s.

I know people have brand loyalties, but how do I know what type will be good , and what designs are good for what application, as many manufacturers have more than one line.

With diesel prices the way they are, I hope to increase efficiency.

Tips seem much cheaper

I would like some stage 3's and an exhuast (stock size is 3. 5???)

If tips are so much cheaper, then why buy them assembled?

How much further to go before my clutch will be at its max?

(any ideas for a stronger clutch?)

Don's Mach-1 EDM injectors are the best out there, not cheap, but the best. Most people probably don't want to mess with changing out the tips, a real tedious thing is what I have heard. I got a set of Mach 1. 6's, they are a real good combo with my Catcher ECM for towing, which is mostly what I use it for. Olee Poole is the one to talk to on these, he can tell you what is best for mileage, etc. www.powerbypoole.com He also sell South Bend clutches, and is great to deal with. You are about the limit for the stock clutch if you put injectors in it with the VA box, if you replace it the South Bend is the best, but like the injectors, pricey. Just drive it and if it slips, toss it. Exhaust?? I have a Bully-Dog 4" system I got at the Dodge Dealer for around $400, really works great, easy to install, low egt's, great sound, etc. With my listed mods I get 23 MPG empty if I drive easy, 15 towing 10K.

The tips will work as they are of the same design as the entire injector, at least for the ones you are looking at. It all depends if you want to put in the time and effort to do it yourself or if you have a fuel injection shop close by that could do it for you. Don's Mach injectors probably are some of the best out there; that's probably where I will go when I upgrade. If you don't want to spend the money, tips will get it done for you, they might just smoke a little more than Don's and be more of a hassle to install.

Some of the easiest to get price wise and to install as they are complete are the new Bosch 275RV's, not quite as much HP as stage III's

Big difference in power actually. 275's will make ~40rwhp in his HO, where the Stage 3's will make ~115rwhp. Apples and oranges. :)

Dieselram30 how do you like the Jammer 5's?

They're way too big for my setup right now, but other than that, the power is great. Obviously they smoke, even when I'm trying to be careful. I have the Comp set on timing only right now and can still roll the smoke. WIth your HTB2, they would probably work well. Still probably smoke before the turbo lights though. For me, I can get into the 1400-1500 degree range in a hurry too. Hopefully a nice set of twins will solve that some time soon. ;) I do get better gas mileage with my current setup than stock, about 3-5 mpg actually. Unfortunately, I can't attribute that gain to any particular mod as they all kind of happened at once.

No turbo? Just the HX35?

Haha, yeah. Just my little stock turbo. Needless to say, it isn't the greatest combo, but I got the injectors really cheap. But I couldn't afford a turbo as well a new transmission to replace my dead one. The setup works, it's just not ideal. I wouldn't recommend it, but with your turbo, you should probably be fine.
