Finally got my truck up on the dyno today. I was very eager to know what the hell was making all that noise and smoke form the back... turns out it was the torque j/k
anyways, I did three runs:
all runs had the 5" exhuast & AFE drop in.
#1. no chip 279hp/528tq
#2. EZ on 4 321hp/607tq
#3. (not shown) ez on 6 240hp/460tq
For some reason the truck did not like to run on lvl 6 we tried it twice with similar numbers... . Kinda bugged me since I have driven with it on lvl 6 and it felt alittle stronger than lvl 4. Good enough reason for me not to use lvl 6
We had a little trouble getting it to spool the turbo up... It wouldn't hit full boost until about 2300rpms on the dyno. On the hwy it takes only a second to hit full boost. This is a dynojet dyno btw. its not one of the the loading types that can put a load on during a pull. We started the pulls in 5th at about 1200rpms
Does anyone know the estimated % loss through the drivetrain?
heres a pic of the chart, kinda hard to see being its so small
