Got my 19.5's!!! Now truck is at Dealer for Water pump... DOH!

So I wait oh so patiently, and finally get my 19. 5's for Mighty Whitey... pick them up last night, get a good night's sleep and get up this morning to put them on... My buddy runs the napa here @ the lake, so I went over there to make sure they had a 33mm socket. . well, I come out, and coolant is everywhere!! What the?? anyways, so I spent the day doing a complete brake job, as well as getting my 19. 5's put on, only to take it to the dealer to let them fix the water pump and possibly a leaking rear main seal... Now I am soooo ansy to get my truck back so I can ride around stylin' and profilin!! The truck took on a whole new look and attitude with the 245/70R19. 5's... It looks sharp! I will get pics up ASAP!

FWIW if you are capapble of a complete brake job, a water pump shouldn't give you any trouble.

I did one in Sept and then again in Dec. The one in Dec I did "on the road" in a truckwash bay. It was after hours and they let me take as long as I needed. Took me probably two hours 'cause it was kinda dark and a little cold. I was only 60 miles from home, but I figured a wash bay was better than on the shoulder in the subzero windchill.

That aint no doubt!! 20 minutes may be a stretch, but not by much if your in your garage!

What brand and tread of 19. 5 tire did you buy?

They are Toyo M608Z's, 245/70R19. 5's... Pretty agressive, not too loud, but ride good...



Sure, I could have done the water pump myself, but if its under warranty, I will let them do it, and just toy around in Black Betty for a day or two... It's nice fogging the highway for longer than a few seconds... Mighty Whitey cleans up once the turbo spools, where as Black Betty just blacks out everything... Gotta love those 12 Valves!!!!

I'm guessing waranty fix.

As much as I would hate to hate to leave it at a dealer, if it's parts and labor for free, I'd hate to mess with it

... . especially when you have a 12 valve to toy around with!!!!! That's the main reason I am in no hurry. . If it was my sole truck, I would be very anal about getting it back... Since I have 2 toys, I get to cruise around in the Old Reliable truck!!



BTW, it is a warranty fix, and I have paid my $100 deductible, so all is $free. 99!!!
