Did you see that truck Bill in the last magazine with the 466 JD under the hood? Personally, I lean towards red farm equipment as opposed to green... . but that was a cool swap.

And I agree with you-Cummins beats the rest of the currently offered competition hands-down..... even with the crappy lift pumps and questionable injection pumps.

Good

In my vast experience in truck engines I have found that the large Cats 3406 are the best in there class. Cummins makes the best smaller diesel engines in the world, the B-series is the best, KDP or not. At 100,000 miles I am going to do the KDP fix and start Bombing. With the proper maint and things learned from all the experience and knowledge on this site, it will last forever.

What gets my goat is that Cummins has ignored the results of their own investigation. They should have at least warned Dodge

that a TSB is needed. They should have determined the KDP

fix and made up a Jig. How much does one hour labor and a screw really cost a dealership, or an engine manufacturers reputation ? I would pay half just to eliminate the potential problem.

We should be overloading the Cummins website with the victims vin#'s and get a list going of who's pin has moved or dropped and damaged the case. If there is power in numbers then why doesn't "Mr. TDR" make a few calls with the backing of 12,168 Cummins fans ???

I just find it amazing how this whole TDR Register is based on being a Cummins owner, yet we can't come together as a group and confront them when it comes to the KDP. Well, at least we 12v'ers have CPFF.

The editor of the turbo register did print an article about the KDP. I don't remember the issue but it was not to long ago. He said that it was a small problem.

It is a small problem but it gets larger everyday as our 12 valves get more miles on them. grtescpa, I'm very suprized you haven't done anything yet, don't be the next one here reporting a hole in his case.
