@Topzide I kick myself over 1999. The 2000 MY just came out and I leased a 2000 Sonoma V6 extended cab. Got hit in the driver door 2 weeks later (by a 3/4 Ton towing an empty plow trailer who's brakes didn't hold) and it was totaled at sticker price. I was given a Dakota V8 as a rental. I got another Sonoma and then wound up towing every weekend. No idea I would be towing cargo when I got it, but the opportunity came up. I regretted not getting a Dakota V8 but couldn't afford a 1/2 ton reg cab V8. Never owned a V6 again after that lease was up.
That 5.9 is a nice V8 compared to a under powered V6. The only bad you can say is it's not a diesel and that's a stretch.
Don't wait on going RVing. Do it while your health allows you to do so. My folks always wanted to, but, their health is not good enough to do so now. It's one reason we hauled RV's: so they could see the country. And it wasn't the same leisurely pace when time=money.
