Ok I need input from you all on my gauge readings, I installed Westach gauges from Geno's along with new Ray banjo fittings. I have and Edge Comp (pump wire unhooked) K-N in stock airbox (snorkle removed), exhaust is stock other than the muffler has been removed and straight piped. Truck has 19,000 miles on it

Fuel Pressure

Idle is 9 psi

75 mph is 5 psi

WOT at 110 mph it drops to 1 psi

These readings are with truck only no trailer or load.

From what I have learned here I possibly have a weak lift pump.

Boost maxium is 29 maybe 30

(Used Piers hollow bolt to tap into intake)

EGT's pulling enclosed trailer grossing 17,200 lbs never exceeded 1100 degrees running 75 to 80 mph

(probe is installed pre-turbo)

Thanks in advance for any input.

:p

Hello I was thinking about doing the guages I hope you dont mind if I ask how much was the whole setup and was it a pain to install how long did it take thanks alot!

Crafty - you can spend about as much as you would want to on guages. Here is a link to a popular combo (boost/egt) guage at Genos Garage. Click the link in my signature (SPA Boost/egt... ) to see a pic of $700 dollars worth of guages and mounts.

It was said a while back my an outspoken memeber that we would be stupid to spend $35K dollars on a truck and $1-15K on mods and then :-{} about a set of 200 dollar guages. I can tell by your sig that you have spent some extra $$ on your truck, go ahead and spend the extra $$ on guages. . The guages are fun to watch and are worth it as far as I am concerned.

I have about the same setup on mine, but mine is an ETC. Your FP are about the same as mine. Part of your low readings could be due to winter cold fuel. Mine read 12-13 before it got cold, and now reads 9-11 cold, idle. Just keep an eye on it and maybe this spring, after a filter change, they will go up some.

Your EGT's look good... . ;)

Crafty, I PM'ed you on the cost and installation,

I think I will get anew lift pump from Cummins and change it out,

the old one would make a good spare.

Thanks for the input.

Your FP readings will be lower for 5-10 miles after takeoff when cold, after that they should go back to what you typically see in my experience.
