Well i installed my recon cab lights about a month ago but now finally getting pics up. They are the smoked ones. I also just got my gauge cluster modified with Black Cat Custom's LED kit. I apologize for the pics being blurry, my camera sucks. I think you guys will get the point though. I have heard of alot of people that want their gauge lights changed to different colors and i found this guy does really good work. His link is Black Cat Custom Gauge Faces

So check out his site and tell me what you guys think of my mods. Oh and yes i was really low on fuel so my next stop was to fill up

Dash looks great!! What was involved all?

well for the way it is now i had to remove my gauge cluster and send it to alex at black cat custom. took him about a week and a half and sent it back. Its about $130. At first though i bought just the face bezel and changed it out with the stock one by taking apart the cluster. the end result was it was just a light blue green color. I wanted a darker blue so opted to send it in for the led kit. The logos in the speedo and tach are just $10 a piece i think. He has a few dodge ram logo's to choose from. The only downsides to doing this mod is it takes your vehicle off the road while it gets done and it is just a little bright, it is gonna take some getting used to until i can figure out a seperate dimmer maybe.

oh and another note if you decide to do this, when removing the cluster i had to turnthe key on to get the shifter to get out of the way. When i unplugged the cluster from the truck or when i plugged it back in i popped 4 codes for fuel sensor or something. I cleared them out with my smarty and its fine.

COOL! just wish they made them for my old truck. Used to have a car in early 70"s that had blue gauges. easy on eyes at night.

I'm getting those for my truck.

Shouldn't the Cummins symbol be on the Tach and the Dodge on the Speedo?

well i had it on the tach before but i asked him to switch it around when i got the led's done. I don't know why i just thought it would look better the way it is. I guess i didnt really think of it like that. If i had i probably would have kept it that way.

So he can switch them around? Because I figured the Cummins symbol would be on the Tach, I guess if you were to label the gauges thats the way I would put it, just my opinion, but it does look great by the way! ;)

yes he can switch them, he has a few different logo's to choose from. i think for dodge it is the ones i have and the ram head and the r/t logo.

WOW JVermes THAT LOOKS GREAT , I shall have to give them a call and get something ordered up for my ram also. Where did you get the LED cab lights from????? I ordered mine from SUPER BRIGHT LEDS home they have all sorts of nice products . However I always like to gather info on such things. You never know what you might find that sparks your intrest . .

thanks man, the cablights are from recon i think the site is Recon Accessories: Home

Looks great!!! How does the color/intensity match up with the rest of the dash lights in the radio, heater? Are they able to convert those to match as well? Why doesn't factoy dimmer work? IIRC, LED's do dim when voltage is reduced, but I could be wrong.

it dimms with the rest of the lights but to get the dash where i want it most the other lights are too dimm. That really doesnt bother me except my a pillar gauges become too dimm. as far as the radio i think it would be better to just get an aftermarket radio to match color. the hvac controls seem to have the same light sockets that the dash has, he told me he might have some bulbs that fit into the sockets, or you can pull them out and order replacement sockets with bulbs at this site 74 37 Instrument Panel Lights i just havn't got that far yet.
