I finally got my Road Armor bumpers put on. :) I still have a few little details to work out, like installing the PIAA's and some marker lights but that will be done this week.

I want to thank BBD for setting up the group buy and Road Armor for building a kick butt bumper.

I can't figure out how to post pics so I'll give ya a link to my Webshots album or you can check out my album on here as well.

To bad Road Armor stole the design from Trail Ready. Me and 2 others are getting the original Trail Ready Bumpers.

Anyways, post pics. I'd like to see anyways. They do look good.

You might want to read this.....

In regard to the law suit, we just completed deposing the two guys who own the failing company Trail Ready/RSI (or as we affectionately refer to as "fail ready") these boys decided they wanted to try and take what was not theirs. Along with defrauding their local union, they have a $75,000 tax lien against them and are in arrears with the union for over $120,000. They intend to file bankruptcy in order to get out of the union debt, while spending over $50,000 on their rock crawler toy. The truth always ends up coming out, they are in major trouble and stand to loose their business and their homes.

As you have seen over the last year Road Armor has released over 20 new products. We worked very hard to increase our manufacturing capacity and have taken our lead times from months to a couple of weeks and at times (depending on the product) days. We are currently shipping over 180 units a month.

Competition is always a good thing and we welcome the opportunity. I think we just need to lay out all the pertinent facts of our features and benefits and allow you to make an informed decision. We/I forget about all the differences in our product and every other manufacturer. If you do decide on Road Armor, take some pride in this: look far and wide you will never see anybody who says they would prefer another brand over Road Armor, if cost wasn't an issue and with this discount it is not!

Now I know some of you had bad experiences with the Trail Ready brand of "Roadarmor" bumpers, that was not us. That was the whole reason for the split. Since November 2002 Road Armor as a company and as a product line has been completely reborn. Our design technology is cutting edge, no other competitor comes close. Our product is by far more complex in manufacturing than any other, our quality is top notch, our customer service has been good but we are striving to make it even better. During the last year and a half we grew 220% in sales. We have put our head guy Jim Medlock in charge of customer service. He is a top flight individual, you can count on him like the sun. If you ever have a problem you can reach him on his cell at 206 510 8648. Jim has been with me for over four years and is a true professional.

Our business is well managed; we have a full time CFO managing our finances, Pete Dahmen. He is also a top flight professional. Pete was a former customer of fail ready, outraged with how they delt with him as a customer he came to me to finish out his truck. He was so impressed with us that he came onboard as a partner in the business. Mark Hanson out of Dallas TX, was a former employee of Ranch Hand and had been looking at Road Armor for several years. After the split from fail ready, Mark called and said he was so impressed with Road Armor he had to find a way to be involved. Mark is also a partner and is now our COO. He has been the leader in our work on the H2 product line. Mark is highly valuable to our business and if you ever need anything business realated, is there for you anytime.

I realize this may be more than you wanted to know, just decided to hammer out some details in order to let you know who we really are! Thanks for you consideration.

JD

That is from JD at Road Armor.

Darrell, looks great, that front and rear combo is sweet. Im really pleased with mine. Road Armor is the original and are great to work with.

trailready and roadarmor

Me and my buddy ordered trailready bumpers 3 days before the group purchase for the roadarmor bumpers started. We thought we were getting the cool bumpers that they show on there web site. Well they finaly arrived and what a dissapointment they were not secured to the shipping pallet and when what little of the packaging was removed it reveiled a scrached and dinged up pair of bumpers. The bumpers do not look like the bumpers on there web site they look identical to the buckstop bumper! After calling trailready and arrainging to ship back and get refund ( they were very quick to send) we called roadarmor. I talked to James and explain what a dissapointment our trailready bumpers were he offered us a 25% discount as the group buy had expired. Well we just receieved our bumpers and they look great.

I have pictures of the trailready bumpers, if interested give me a pm.

Thanks for the complement.

That garage has been full on several occasions when we have local Bombing Partys. Sure makes it nice to have a warm dry place to work on about anything. :)

I can't wait until the day when I break ground on my garage. I want one big enough to be able to park at least 2 semis in it (without the trailers... ).

2/4 post lifts, beer tap, brass pole and PLENTY of juice to run all the metal fabrication equipment.

I'll stop now... I'm drooling.

Call Them!

Tell them about how your bumper arived and that it was digged up, I'm sure they will take care of it.

As for the hole where the winch bay is located that peace you see on my bumper is something I had made. Road Armor does offer a winch bay cover but it doesn't cover up the condensor very well so I had a local shop wip that peace out for me in about 30 minutes.

Give them a call and leave your name and # and I'm sure they will call you back.

lights

what the best way to wire up our new road armor bumpers?

i have piaa 510 fog lights that i am currently using the factory wire harness without any problems at all. i think they will be fine. the extra head lights that i want to come on only with the high beams, i need to find the correct wire to tap into to trigger the relay. anybody now the color and were to find it?

BUMPER WHOASSSS!!......

DarrellB...

Ya, if I had SEEN any pictures of this bumper ,,WITH OUT a winch or the extra driving lights that some of you put on,,I don't think I would have gotten this BRAND!!

Road Armor should offer some sort or hole cover,,,it would even be ANOTHER place that they could have put there NAME... it sure LOOKS FUGLY with that gapping hole that leaves your cooler wide open,,,

As far as them HELPING,, an making it RIGHT!!...

I'm DAMM WELL not going to ship it back...

I can (an have) come up with something... . Oo.

Did any one else have any trouble in getting it level an still not have the HOOD hit??

I'M DONE "VENTING" NOW,,,,,

THANKS... ...

Mike In Maine;)

Mike mine went on pretty easy no problems at all really. I used an ATV jack to hold it up while I snugged the bolts down then fine tooned to to my liking.

I'm super happy with mine and get lots of complements off the new bumpers.

DB

wishgrantter- give them a call, I was told the sport models need an extra piece in that area so if it wasn't specified on your order that you had a sport you probably didn't get the extra piece (I wasn't asked, I just happened to mention mine is a sport when I ordered). I also haven't had much luck contacting them by email or pm but when I have called things were taken care of right away.

SOMETHING MISSING??

SilverB... ...

Realll??,, You say there maybe some thing missing??

I WAS ASKED THAT (about being a SPORT) An my invoice says SPORT ALSO!!

I'll try again for connact,,,

THANKS
