Just installed a set and they look great. Installation was pretty easy. It sure made it easier to leave it all a little loose. There are a couple that look like there is no way that it is going to bolt up right but you put it all together and tighten it up and it comes together nicely. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I installed mine last night. I had to look at the picures on this thread because I didn't believe the directions.

Mine seem to be about 1" lower in the rear. Anyone else seeing this on theirs?

Thanks

kirk

Clayton I think you have the front & rear brackets reversed. One is shorter & one is longer. you might check that out & reverse them. good Luck!

I don't think the short one would even work on the back. The step would hit the truck. I put the short bracket up front and the long in back. Is this wrong

No, you can only put them on one way.

FYI to everybody, you might want to upgrade the body mount bolts. The bolts that come with the kit are 4-8 grade but the factory bolts are 10-9.

What size, pitch and length

Does anyone know where I can get some longer better grade bolts to swap mine out. I would like to put in the same grade as was factory. I am just not sure if I can dig up the old bolts now. We just got finished moving and my garage is still not all unpacked.

Thanks,

Joe

Nice looking bars for the money, I may have to check this out.

Joe, check out a farm supply store, they usually have grade 8 bolts of various lengths.

i bought those nerf bars off him on ebay over a year ago, about 13months ago, still shines like new, great price, bolted on easy

Thanks guys! I looked at them and relized this was the missing piece for my new truck. Once the truck gets here I will have a weekend of work ahead of me!

Well I put the nurf bars on. they look great!

In one of the pictures I see the cab bracket bolt behind a piece of tape or something. I had to stick something in the hole to keep the welded on bolt head from spinning, then sealed up the body hole with that black putty you buy in rolls for your camper.

I notice drains in the body right below where this bolt is, but I figure sealing it will keep the water and dirt out. the dirt will over time clog the drain holes.
