I got my new tires last week. Check my speed odometer using a gps unit from a friend at work and it is 1. 5 to 2 mph slow at about 60 mph. I also notice that for every 10 miles it is about 4 tenths slow. Do you think it is worth getting the revs set? Dealership said it would cost me 30 min labor.

I real like the way these tires look and ride. I think it makes the truck look more like a truck.

I'm thinking about these tires, you got any pics of your truck yet?

I wouldn't be too worried about the speedo error. . . helps keep the miles down a bit ;)

Congrats... we need pics Oo. . I sure have been very happy with my set.

Vaughn, I have some pics in the link in my sig.

Looks pretty good to me BApple

Fills the wheelwells out a little better, and I've always like raised white lettering. Looks good on a black truck if you ask me.

Thats looks very good. I have seen the 285 KO's up close and they are a much better fit for our trucks IMO. The 31. 5's are too small, I know they are that size for a reason, but they look like crap.

Do you guys like the 285 better than a 315? I am just curious can't decide what to go with. 315 are big but they should fit my truck no prob once I get the KORE kit installed. The 285 looks really good on those trucks though.

Do you think it is worth getting the revs set?

nope... . i've been rolling for over 24,000km on 315's with an uncorrected speedo... i've never checked it with a gps unit, but i have checked it against those road side mounted radar trailers. it seems there is some variation between those trailers, but i am sitting at about 10%-12% error in speedo reading

Great idea! What was the price, and were did you buy them?? Pic's...

Where did you get those tires? I've been looking everywhere for the last 2 days for them. They're backordred everywhere. :{ Truck looks sweet.

How do you get pics on here? having tbl. Maybe I can put some on here this evening.

How do I resize my pictures so I can post them in the forums or in readers rigs?

To be able to upload a picture to the forums your picture needs to be smaller than 32,000 bytes. For the reader's rigs section it needs to be smaller than 122,800 bytes. If you have a photo program you can use that to resize the picture. For the forums you needs to resize it to smaller than 400x400 - 320x240 is a common size that will fit. Then save it as a .jpg file and set the "quality" or "compression" to 5 (or 50%). For the reader's rigs section if you size it to 800x600 and save it as a .jpg file at 50% it should fit fine.

If you don't have a photo program or can't figure it out you can download irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com . Install and run it. Then load the picture you wish to resize. Pull down the image menu to "Resize/Resample" and then select which size you want to make it and click on OK. Then pull down the file menu to save as, change the type to .jpg and on the right hand side change the save quality to 50%.

If you want to upload the picture to the reader's rigs section go here - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/...&threadid=96223 . If you then want to post the picture that you uploaded to the reader's rigs in the forum go here - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/...&threadid=96957 .

If you want to upload it to the forums go here - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/...&threadid=96956 .

I have the 285s and like them. They are a great capable all around tire for all weather conditions. The factory rugged trails came off at 75 miles, and I now have 16,000 on the tires. They don't seem to be wearing super well, but I can live with that. I'll probably get about 35-40k out of them. My dealer set the revolutions per mile for me for like 20 minutes labor. I think you need to set it at 634 IIRC. The chart of revolutions for each tire size is available on the BFG website. All in all a nice upgrade.
