Ok my sled is done,Guess I can get back to work.

FYI

Cummins had to clean my radiator also because of the oil leak they say that the fan was sucking oil into it ,and was the cause for my overheating. Well it took almost two weeks for cummins to figure it out and fix it ,But I am vey happy with the outcome. Just goes to show you that chrysler dealers should not be working on these engines as said before by many other TDR members.

Thanks for listening and replying to my post and posted updates . I hope this may help someone in the future, as many of the posts I've read helped me;) ;)

fill to fast?

If this is true then why is the fill neck on my 3500 made to except the fill nozle from the truck stop pumps ? Sender bender? or some more guess work? Do the (Big Rigs ) have HD senders? why 1/4 tank fill up cause the problem splash ? Air venting ? Bad senders ,if so then DC and Cummins should talk to each other and get some thing done about it. Just a few things to think about . Ron in Louisville KY:confused:   :D

The cause is from using the pumps that the big rigs use , the transfer rate is too high for our trucks it damages the sending unit. I know this for a fact because a buddy who has a 94 had this problem not too long after he bought his truck and they are the only pumps he goes to.

Well, crap!! Does this mean that I have to try to get to the passenger car islands to refuel when I'm pulling a 36' 5th wheel?? I was feeling good about being able to fuel up at the big rig pumps on the way to the LSTDR rally last weekend while the PSD behind us got to the pumps and found out the big rig nozzle wouldn't fit his filler neck.

Guess your right Bill,

Thats the only answer to it for now. The shame of it is I like the 60 second fill up, But my sender is only a 1/4 off for now so I will be pumping slow too so I dont blow it completely out.

i've filled at the big rig pumps , my gauge still reads correctly , i normally run it till it hits empty , i know roughtly how many miles i can go on a load of fuel .

sounds like a load o bs to me .

Was your truck in there with a 1/4 tank of fuel or less? I have used these pumps, for the most part, for well over 100,000 miles and had no problems. We know their fuel monitoring system is a weak spot. Altho my new RAM has no gauge issues(Ifeel like I just cursed it). My 99 had lots of fuel level monitoring problems. So was the entire problem lack of fuel? Not including the dlr screw up. Man you know its almost all dlrs of all things. DC is not the only one boneing people.

The problem was the dealer screwup at first then while it was at cummins ( truck went in with1/2 tank) they ran it on the dyno so much that they ran the fuel down to a 1/4 tank . Which meant it just ran out of fuel. Sometimes I can run it empty and sometimes its on a quarter and its empty. I always watch my mileage so I know when I need to fill up. I can usually run loaded for abot 360 miles.

On another note my truck finally runs good now . They replaced alot of stuff they werent supposed to also. But the thing I noticed is it doesnt seem like it has the power it used to. And another strange thing is ( everyone will think im crazy now ) My rpm has dropped from before. I used to run 70 mph @ 2200 rpm now it runs 70 @ 2050. Like I said this sounds weird but its true. Any thoughts on that.
