Got so mad wanted to hit a fella.

I usually change my own oil but every 3rd or 4th time I take it to a place to get it greased and check under the truck. I asked the man how much,(I have my own oil and filter)as the oil is about drained I ask again and he tells me 27. 00. I tell him again I have my own oil and filter. He says 22. 00 for car and 27. 00 for truck. Last time it was 15. 00. I was so mad I couldn't see straight. I told him that was too much and of course it did no good. I went inside the place and told the owner who was cashiering and he replied wish I could do something. I told him I could do something so after the card went through I got my knife and cut up my Exxon card and told him to send it to the company of course by this time other people heard us and got their keys and left. I don't mind a man making some money but this was outrageous. Thanks for letting me vent but I told Exxon to kiss my ars. This is a big place with Exxon signs on the pole. Any how I guess my blood pressure is back to normal now.

I talked to a guy recently who took his rig to a Sears auto center, he provided Amsoil and a filter, they charged him $5, he was so tickled that he left a $10 tip. Maybe it's time to try Sears.

My buddy Matt went to return a phone (3rd) cause it did not work, one of those GTE places, the guy gave him a ration and Matt knocked him out cold! After a night in jail and an assault charge, 3 months, Matt learned to "chill". It ain't worth it!

Hey Barry,nothin else goin on. It's just I felt like I was takin advantage of. The mechanic that has been there a long time said and agreed that it was too high,he usually does my stuff but he was busy. I know the last time it was 15. 00 That was about 6 months ago. The truck ain't but 9 months old. I asked the guy that actually did the work and he asked the boss while it was going up in the air. After the oil is draining he finally answers me. I did learn a lesson,from now on I will get a price before the work starts. I did hear the new mechanic say this guy must have money. He heard us talking about the 98 I had and now I have a 2001. I wouldn't have minded but I got the impression that everybody don't pay the same thing. I'm better now. Wifey took me to eat shrimp and a big glass of iced tea took my mind off of it. Thanks for you concern!

I agree that's too much money. But, he's entitled to charge whatever price he wants. It would appear he thinks he doens't need your business.
Whenever you go by his shop and he's outside - toot your horn and give him a friendly wave. He'll start wondering where you're getting your service and after a while it'll drive him nuts. trust me. You can have the last laugh and avoid the assault charge as well. #ad


I had a similar experience with a tire shop and after a while the owner would turn his back or scamper inside when he heard the diesel #ad

Took My gasser truck (B4 I got smart)to Wall Mart for oil change, costs $15. 95. Asked how much to do the Diesel Dodge and was quoted 47. 99. I said in shock boy thats a lot for 6qts more oil and the responce was yea but its a truck. Oh well back to doing my own again
