Havent quite recived it yet, but got EGT, Boost(60PSI), and FP (60PSI Electric gauge) on the way. On top of that... got a Edge Comp chip as well :-laf

So far this is all I have done so far to the ol' Girl:

2000 Dodge Ram 2500 QC 4x4 NV4500

-Straight Piped (4" from down pipe to 5" turn out stacks)

-Drilled holes in the bottom of the air intake

and thats it. Havent done anything else with the engine part of this truck. What should I change up to handle some of the extra power coming? I really do not feel like killing this truck as it is my work truck and is way to expensive, but want to have a little fun with it. Currently I have just over 93k miles on it. I bought it with 64k so I have no idea if any work has been done to it, as well as the clutch. I am kinda worried about frying the clutch, as alot of the extra money I had is going to the comp and needed home repairs.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

PS, any advantage to polishing the interior of the intake "ram" (dont really know the technical name for it, the part that is mounted to the intake from the intercooler)? Any other mods that I can do on my own with a little time and sweat, but costing not much?

Fill out your sig it'll save ya alot of typing later on

Id say lose the Air Box and go BHAF

You'll need more fuel also the COMP will suck Er' Dry !!

if your rich --- air dog

if not--- Pusher Pump

Good luck

Definately get some kind of upgraded fuel lines/fittings at a minimum, and preferably a pusher pump. I run a FASS, but I'm afraid of the electrical stuff. I've got it wired up well, but still. I'd run a RASP if I were you. No electronics to worry about. I run a BF FP warning light too, just in case I'm not watching the gauge, and it drops too low (or off all together, as has been the case in the past).

And ditch that intake. Get something, anything. The BHAF is cheap, Scotty II flows well, and it not too expensive, aFe's are nice, and well built, but pricey.

The comp alone shouldn't overpower the clutch. It'll probably be right on the edge. If it does, then just turn the comp down until you can get a new clutch.

As for the intake manifold... polishing it up could help, but probably minimally. I doubt it would make much, if any difference. Can't hurt though, so that's up to you. Anything ported/polished couldn't hurt, unless you weaken something by porting too much I suppose.

There's some other small, cheap, secret-squirrel stuff you can do with the 24v's... nothing major though.
