I think you are right on the money. I turned a 17. 3 with just the DDTT but I think my lift pump was shot. Before I went back to the dragstrip I moved the lift pump (new) to the frame rail and added 275's. I ran a 16. 3 @ 83. 5 mph. The temp was 80 with about 60% humidity. Jardine exhaust is next.

good times , about what i saw when i was HP challenged ...

so far 14. 38 @ 91. 7 ... . as soon as i get my EGT problem in check i'll be in the 13's on the stock michelins ... . that should be by the weekend ... :p

GBenson,

Good run, but remember this gets addictive, I started running 18. 34 stock. and now i'm in the 13's.

John you need to wurry into the 13's as I'm going out to try and better my time of 13. 97.

I just ran on Friday night, I turned a 17. 8 (first time ever drag racing). I started out in 2nd gear and the tires just let loose and I didn't go anywhere. I'm thinkin' 3rd gear next time off the start.

Don't know if this might help (or if it's advisable) but, Moparmuscle has told me that he leaves off the line in 4 wheel drive, and slides out after (so many feet). Maybe he can chime in on this and help you out more.

Tire spin

Mine is a 2wd 2500. I have managed a best of 16. 20@84 with an EZ and a K&N Re-o880. I launch at 1800 RPM and swap pedals. It doesn't spin much that way in 2nd gear. When I stompshift third is when I have traction problems. If my LSD was worth a crap It would help alot. If I were to put some stickier(IE NOT BALD) tires on it I bet I could get it into the 15s with some cooler weather. Went out the other day and truck said 106*, could only get a 16. 38 out of it then.

I could get some more MPH out of it but I have to let off to hit 5th lol. It doesn't like being stomp shifted into 5th.

Sorry if I was giving bad information. I knew someone in the know would step up to the plate if this wasn't a good idea. I saw Mopar's broken output shaft. Wasn't sure if it was from too much horsepower or waht, thanks for correcting me.

George

PS, maybe for better traction, you guys should be running duallies????????????????????

if possible could you guys include your 1/8 mile et's also. Must tracks around here are 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile time are hard to relate to.

thanks

Well, I took mine out for the first time and had a best of 15. 8 @ 91. 2. My 2500 4x4 weighs 7320 lbs, and it's a 6spd using 2nd gear starts.

Rattle, Since you have 4:10's you outta try 3rd gear starts. Main thing is to ease the power so you don't spin wheels. I tried 3rd gear but I have 3. 54's and it didn't work out to well. The truck rolled off the line fine, but once the boost kicked up the powermax kicked in to hard causing the tires to spin eating up my 60ft time.

I won't do any 4wd launches. I can't afford to be replacing transfer cases.

I think any times you get are great... mainly cause you are out in the Ram, having fun!

I agree with MikeR... 4wd starts?
