Installed the #10 kit from piers, which included the 10 plate (i set it closer to front of its slot for more fuel) and a boost elbow. I also reset the governor arm, which was contacting in the middle of the fuel plate. I had to turn the adjusting screw about 5 or 6 turns for it to be set right. my top boost went from 14psi to 19psi, and egt's will just go over 900F (preturbo) I have a k+n air filter and my exhaust comes out just behind the cab with no muffler. It did gain some accelleration, and it does huge burnouts now. Does this seem like proper boost/egt results for this setup? I thought egt's would go higher, almost like its still not getting enough fuel. Im putting 215 injectors in next week and am going to see what happens. Thanks for any help.

The 215's will bring up the heat some, but you should be getting about 30 to 32 psi boost. Check your boost line CAREFULLY. A 3K gsk will really make it nice to drive. Jim

I have 3K gov springs, a #10 plate and DD stage IIs(like the 215s). Plate is centered. My EGTs go right to 1250 with no load but heavy acceleration and my boost is 32+. Seems like your numbers are a bit low.

Maybe a tad, but not much. The pump on the 94 isn't as big as what is on the '96-'98. 4 trucks.

So it sounds like you slid it to the rear a bit? Need to slide it forward for more fuel, not to the rear. Also, did you slide the AFC housing full forward?

Just to clarify, forward means toward the front end of the truck. With the stock governor springs I could still only hit 1000 EGT's with my 0 plate, I have the 175 pump so he's probably right on especially if he didn't slide the plate full forward. Once the governor springs went in I could hit 1250 with no other changes made.

It's really hard to say because you probably don't have a 3KGSK, but you should have atleast 25 PSI boost with the plate full forward. Once you hit about 2200 RPM and it starts to knock back fuel you'll probably notice boost drop as well. Once you get a governer spring kit boost will jump up about another 5 PSI.

Sorry, i when i said front of slot, i meant towards the front of the engine.

Thanks for the great info.

If there is a problem, im thinking it must be a fuel problem (hopefully injectors, since i am changing them anyways). If it was a turbo problem i would be seeing high egt's because of a lack of air. Im getting low boost, because of low fuel, and naturally it results in low egt's. Does this sound right?

Ill update when i get the injectors in.

Thanks again
