DZink24 said:I was talking to a Hess tanker driver today, he said that they no longer blend K1 with #2 for the cold weather months. It is nothing but ULSD, apparently it is good down to -6 F. But he did say however, they've got about 20 cases of anti-gel back at the rack, "just in case".

I'm using anti-gel additive. Period.

GFrance said:We no longer blend #1 kero with #2 diesel because the Kero has sulpher & will put the ULSD out of spec of 15 ppm. For the cold side of the mountain in this state the carriers that deliver over there have been adding another additive ontop of what is being added at the pipeline. I don't know what it is, for I don't deliver on that side of the state. I know one of the drivers told me he puts in 5 gallons of additive for a 10,000 gal. load.
