Well, I got my HTB2 installed. Everything went very nice except for the oil drain tube from the turbo. Had to bend it and hammer on it a bit to get it to fit between the compressor and turbine since the wastegate arm was in a different location than my stock HX-35.

Now I just need to install my EDMs as I have plenty of air flow but not enough fuel to build boost to open the wastegate. Interesting difference with just the turbo, but it's nice to do one part at a time to see what the differences are. Not sure if it will open the wastegate with a #10 full forward, but I am not exactly trying as I still would like to take it easy and break the new HT in some before I really spool it up.

Anyway, just wanted to share the addition with you guys, here are some pics. I will definately post when the injectors are in after this weekend.

hey joe,

what kind of difference with just the htb2? how responsive is the spool? i have been trying to decide between pdr hx40 and htb2, i want one that can really move the air and still not be a dog at stops. i drive my truck everyday so i need it streetable. i would like to know how you like it. i have the same 35/14 you show in your sig. so should be about the same difference, thanks, Dave.

#@$%! i need to get off the fence and get a turbo myself..... although its kinda fun having more fuel then turbo! ;) so how do you like that turbo?

jim, first things first... i need to trade in the FE for a southbend double..... i figure do that before the turbo. with my luck i'll throw the center right out of the clutch on the rollers... . or the street :-laf

Jump down and step away from the fence. Do not look back! :-laf :-laf

Just go ahead and do it, it only hurts for the first 300 miles, then once it's broke in, you'll have a smile that won't go away for months! :D :D
