Now that's the spirit we like to see. Enough doom and gloom in the world for all of us. Good luck with the dealer.

Ty, if their maintenance department is anything like sales? I look forward to sucking on the coffee and rifling through their s$&@!!!!!

I’ve always been suspect when it comes to these AAM axels, gone are the days of dodge and Dana axels. Give me a model 60 up front and a 80 out back.

Ya, I remember my May Madness CTD information pamphlet, for my first May Madness in 08, The pamplet was generated from Carson City Dodge techs. It had alot of handy info for 1st time owners, although the 07 C&C is my 2nd CTD. My 04.5 is still very much alive in Salt Lake, Utah with my brother. I wonder how many 04 MY Ford 6.no's and Duraflat's are still around, I'll bet the ratio is very high in favor of the 04 Dodge Ram.

Mac, did you buy the new 2019 or 2018? lets see your signature, now that you defeated Darth Vador, and Mac is back. ;)

RVTRKN....

Took care of all that yesterday when I registered, I guess I have to call tomorrow to pay for full access to the site, so my signature is done but not visible. But it’s a 2018 2500 reg cab 4x4 tradesmen with chrome. It was on the dealer lot since the fall of 2017. I always was looking at them even though I actually don’t need a diesel at all. I really didn’t want to re enter the ram diesel deal with this new motor their using, that things going to be more problematic than a wobbling hub.

So all you guys are right, I’ll give it a shot. The dam thing is impressive on the power to weight ratio....

Mac, what was your handle last time by?
You just can’t compare a CTD and a Tundra.
I hear about this issue, I don’t know much about it, but in all fairness, FCA HAS TO step up their game.
Glad you’re going to give it a try to fix.

My user name was plane “macdaddy”. From 2000 to 2010. It was my 05 dually 5.9 that got a lot of attention from the west coast Chrysler representative for the CARB diesel compliance with respect to smogging in California. Learned tons with him. I plan on getting a bit more involved this time around.

I worked for a major oil and gas company for over 36 years with a background in mid barrel blending (jet/diesel)

I'm sorry to say that is suspect, with a 2018 built in 2017 and only 15 miles on it selling in march of 2019. You must have gotten a sweet deal on it, so your ahead of the game if you ask me.

Exactly......

Here’s one for you. Believe it or not I had just gave the Toyota dealer in Carson city a 1000 dollar deposit to find me a new white TRD pro crew max.....
I was waiting for a friend for lunch and walked across the street to Carson city dodge and found the 2500. It really looked good to me. I low balled the kid he then went to the fleet manager and they took it. Msrp was 49 and change I offered 40 and they said yes. Love the idea of seating only for two.

And yes I’m sure your up on the new tundra trd’s I saved myself around 15k....

If we’re able to figure out the vibration issues it’ll be worth it for sure...

So, you are running around Bobtail with 60 PSI in the front tires and around 35 in the rears? Ignore the nanny light and try it. What tires are on it(make and size). Have you had the tires balanced on a lug centric machine or a road force machine?

Mac, it’s probably to late, but you should of had the balancing of tires thrown in the deal. I take it you had all fluids changed from sitting collecting moisture over a full set of seasons?

Mine shook pretty good over 70. Balanced the rears, no change. Had all four road forced and it is good now. Not perfect like my 1500 was, but thwey are two totally different trucks. Make sure you ask them to record the road force lbs.for each wheel. If Carson does not have road force machine and someone that knows how to use it make sure they sublet to a tire store that does.

Hey Mac,
you're making me think too hard here... you have three threads going on related to this.... making me think its Groundhog Day or something.

I know this may be throwing a turd in the punch bowl, but I think it would be major cool to have a Ram 2500, Reg Cab 4x4. 6.4 ft bed Cummins 6spd manual. I digress, which, believe it or not, happens here on the TDR.

So, I stand ready to give free advice, make fun, and or actually help.

Cheers, Ron

Sitting since 2017 I'm betting that the tires are flat spotted. I bet a day of driving will fix them up, or they are too far gone and will never go back to round.
