Everything turned out great. Picked up the truck this afternoon and all is well.
The FASS is quite a system. Mechanic said the truck wouldn't start this morning so I guess I was lucky making it to the shop.
One thing I saw in the owners manual, it states if the pump fails there is a bypass and the truck keeps running. How is this different than the stock lift pump in that the truck dies when the pump fails.
The Smarty is great. I only wanted a "little" more power to keep it in OD longer and not shift down on the hills with the camper on. He set it to level 3 out of 10. I can only imagine what 10 is like. I could tell the difference before leaving the parking lot. Just touching the go pedal felt the same as half throttle before. I'm kind of gun shy about really getting on it. It smokes a little more but a big improvement.
One thing I noticed is that it seems to rev a little higher before it shifts.
I also seem to have a little quirk in my transmission. It did this before the Smarty but it's more pronounced now. When taking off and not pushing the accelerator all the way down it doesn't want to shift, only rev. If I floor it, it feels like it passes a sticking point and then shifts fine. It seems to work ok if I accelerate hard, but doesn't like easy throttle. Any ideas what would cause this?
I plan to take it in the the next couple of weeks for the gauges and new hoses. My intercooler intake hose is leaking so I plan to get a set of the silicone hoses.
Any other ideas or advice? Thanks

A friend of mine has an '03 that does that sticking thing. All I could figure out is that the cooler line is too close to the tv cable and at times is catching. Dunno for sure.

Thanks for the reply. It did seem to stop "sticking" one time but came back and has done it ever since. I'll have to crawl under and check it out.
