my truck is a 06 4x4 dually it already has a smarty tunner, aft intake horn, 5' exhaust, pacbrake ebrake. i just perchased the ats twin set up where it uses the stock trubo for the small turbo the aurora 5000 for the big turbo. my quesion is what else do i need to do the engine to take to boost from the turbos. i know that i need head studs. being that i am running twins and the ebrake iv been told by some that i will need bigger valve springs and need to fire-ring the head. will i be able to get away with just head studs for now or would that be asking for trouble. since this truck is my daylydriver, pulling the head to get it fire-ringed and new valves put in is not an option as right now, as i cant have the truck down for more the just a weekend. i would realy like to have twins but if i have to wait i will.

How much and where did you purchase the ATS kit that uses the stock turbo as the small turbo? Just wondering, I am looking at doing something like this in the future. I would like to read up on them. Scotty

we also carry that kit, just to let ya know... .

i'd say you're next upgrade beside the studs should be some injectors. something like a 90hp would be perfect for you. then a fuel system such as an AirDog. also i'd suggest a BD intercooler and driver side intercooler pipe. let me know if i can help you w/ anything.

If you set the wastegate to open about 50/52#'s you can get away without studs for now, I would not let it go past 55#.

Is the bottom turbo wastegated also, or just your stocker?

You should be able to spool that setup with your stock injectors and the Smarty very nicely, Larger injectors are always helpful, just not too large on a stock CP3.

I am not saying studs are not important, just that you do not have to wait, to start enjoying your new compounds.

just the stocker is wastgeted. what about valve springs? if i did not have the e-brake i would not be concerned but i know that e brakes are hard on the valve train none the less with twins.
