I've got a Palm V I enjoy it. I'm not sure what I'm gonna get next. There are a ton of great products out there. One of the things that I was looking at... .
For the cost. What about one of the super delux phones? Nextel has one that does everything I a Palm does, plus! They seem more solid and it's one less thing to carry!
If she uses a cell phone a lot too look at the Treo 650 - it's a palm pilot/phone and it's awesome - http://www.treocentral.com . I've had palm pilots in the past and also a windows ce handheld and I found that I often didn't have them on me because it was a pain to carry both my cell phone and my organizer. Now that I have the Treo I have it on me 24/7.
I'd wait a bit after the release - it's bound to be buggy. Early adopters pay a price in problems and frustrations while the bugs are worked out. Personally I'd wait at least 6 months and see how it's going then before pulling the trigger. The 650 had a lot of issues when it was new. It stil has some problems but it's a TON better than when it was first released.
I assume your talking about the 700w too - that will be the very first windows platform on a palm device - bound to have problems.
I have a Palm IIIc and it has worked very well. I am looking at the Palm LifeDrive for my next one. The Treo looks nice but I am too hard on cell phones to put it on my hip.
Thanks for all the replies. I don't know about the phone thing. I hear you, but I think the complexity would be too much. I know someone that has one & has a problem getting voice mail & sometimes even answering the phone!
