Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) gov spring install question HELP

I have a questiion I am installing a 3000 rpm GSK kit from Piers. I n the direction it says "remove spring retainer and all innere springs (leave large spring in place) remove inner spring seat assembly at the bottom of the bore and remove any shims that are installed" but there is a big washer / shim and a very narrow shim that are under the big spring do I leave these???? The way I understand it is these should stay due to the fact you are leaving the big outer spring in. Please help ASAP If possible give me a call- collect 209-223-2906 ROB CA
