hay guyz i just installed my 32oo gov spring n pods lastnite, tired to start it not start, we cracked the injector tell fuel started to come out, but still no go, it acts like there aint enough pressure to open da new injectors, do anyone have any idea wat i did wrong or anytips yah can give to get da ol gurl to fire up thanxz in advance dan

Chances are you didn't index the throttle lever correctly on the throttle shaft. That or the fuel screw isn't in far enough. More than likely the t-shaft. Did you pay close attention to the index marks on the lever and the slot ontop the throttle shaft? You want it on the 2nd index mark.

well i counted the index marks it was da 4down so second in but i noticed i didnt get my fuel screw all da way back in probly got a lil to xcited of almost being done but i tired turning it in n it wont go in anymore but i kno it should go in more cuz of my marks

4 down and 2 up is correct if were speaking on the same lines. I know what you mean when it comes to getting in a hurry from being excited. Jay and Scott outta know all about that line :-laf ... .

I don't know why the screw won't turn in no more. Scott will have to chime in on that one. Then again you may still have air in the lines. Make sure the start/stop solenoid is plugged in ;) .

got the truck started had to a lil throttle on n it wont idle drdove around town n c how it was, even thing was good til i went out on da highways n on da way back i felt like i lost pedal room like when i wot on it like only went a lil ways n wouldnt go anymore any body kno y this is thanxz dan

ok sorry guys im in the younger boat so i use alot of internet slang words, ill try and say what i wanted to say so u guyz can understand it, "got the truck started but it needed some go go juice because it wouldnt stay idlen by herself, after working on it got it to idle but really low idle, took her for a spin in town she ran good(other than the low idle) then i went out on the highway to see she did out there, but on the way back it felt like she lost pedel room, and when i were to get on it, it didnt get up and go it had no pedal room, anyone kno what caused it to that all the sudden

Pump shaft position wrong

I think you have the idle set up wrong. If you take off the tps then you san get back to the throttle bracket and idle/governor stop that is on top of the return spring. The return spring is the bigger spring that surrounds the shat going vertical into the pump. Heres a pic. that shows you where that stuff is. If you have taken this apart chances are that you might have put it on in the wrong spot. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=542 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top height=5></TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top height=5><TABLE width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>

Under this bracket is the shaft that goes into the top of the pump it has little teeth on it for adjustment. If you have it too far clock-wise (looking from the top of pump) you won't have enough fuel to start. There is only soo much throttle cable and then it hits the govenor screw on the other side so it would feel like less throttle because it is not turning that shaft enough. I would turn it maybe 1/8 a turn or a 1/4 turn counter-clockwise from the position you have the shaft in now she should start. Leave everything (spring, bracket, linkage, tps) off until you get it to start, if it won't start keep going counter-clockwise until it does. I had to move mine to get it to idle down far enough after I turned up my fuel screw. I accidentally took it too far and went past the idle and no fuel spot and it would run if the linkage was opposite than it is but you don't get as much fuel on that side and all the linkage would have to push on that instead of pull like it does. I know this is confusing but it is really not that bad. If you are off one tooth in either direction it will either Idle too high or too low and you may have to move your idle screw out a little to get it to idle where you want it. You can get a lot more movement (more pedal) out of your linkage if you set it up right.

How much younger? Even your translation for us old duffers doesn't make sense.

Writing/Talking like that defeats the one of the main reasons for the board. Being able to search for things. I'm pretty sure people aren't going to be searching for Go Go Juice or Stay Idlen.

Using common language will get common answers and useful ones at that. Someone having a similar problem to yours won't know it because it won't show up on the common language search of your symptons.

I know some of you are older than dirt and can't remember being young. Now you know why your parents told you not to watch that Elvis guy. It's a snow ball effect for every generation.
I'll be your Translator: He asked you to help fix his truck not his English grammar

Like your mother alway said," If you can't say anything nice..... " I'm sure we've all herd it a time or Two. Give him a break!
