The other day I tried to set the height of the governor lever in my 180hp pump with a #6 plate in it. The directions at Peirs site say to have the shut off selonod in the on position, which i did. The problem is that the governor lever never touched the plate. It was about 3/16" away. When I moved the throttle linkage it would touch. I set the height while holding the throttle open so the lever touched the cam plate, but now the truck hesitates for a second then takes off. Is there a problem with my pump or maybe the linkage needs to be adjusted?
