Its happened again. Truck wont shift into higher gears. RPM shoots up to 3000 . I pull over shut truck down, start up again runs OK for a minute then starts acting up again.

Its happened before and in talking to Bill at DTT he thought it could be the Governor Pressure Solenoid or Speed Sensor. So I replaced both. Fixed problem. Truck seemed to run better then ever. In talking to DTT they said that they do not warranty the electronic parts as Dodge wont either. Now its happened again and I am wondering if its the same thing and what could be causing it?Has anyone else experienced this problem more then once?

Could it have anything to do with the Smarty that I have installed?I had just finished working on the brakes and had taken the truck out for a test drive when this happened. While working on the brakes I had left the ignition on in order to listen to the radio. By on I mean forward key position, not auxiliary back position. Could this possibly damage the electronics in the transmission?

I know I am fishing here but the frustration level is high.

When its good the truck drives beautiful and I cant say enough for the transmission and other performance mods that I have done. When its bad I just think $$$$$$$$$$$.

Your thoughts?

Thanks ,Mike

Governor Solenoid

Thanks for your response, no it doesn't seem to shift out of 1st. Transmission is from DTT not for sure hold old it is. I just had replaced governor solenoid and speed sensor a little over 5000 miles ago. How should I trouble shoot the Voltage regulator? The voltage gauge on dash seems to be ok. Have you known any one to have multiple problems with their governor solenoid? Thanks again for your reply. Mike
