Boy I must have missed something I put the 3000rpm spring in and the only change I saw was the rpm should there be more?

Got the same set up on mine... it should throttle up a little quicker, and it doesn't start to defuel around 2300 like it used to. Try putting it in 2nd gear and run it up to 3K. If it doesn't defuel, the springs are probably set up right.

Defuel -- This is something that got me at first. How can you tell??

Before the gov kit when I tried to rev it to 3000, the boost would go up to 28psi. Then as I hit 2700 rpms it would start dropping off so that by 3000 it was down at 18psi. ( only had a plate back then ). After the gov kit, it would hold 28 psi all the way to 3000.

Also go to Piers site and checkout the Governor Lever Adjustment. Make sure you do this as part of adding your spring kit.

It'll feel like you just drove into a big puddle of glue at about 2300... the governor will start to cut the fuel back. Most of us who have the GSK agree that the truck pulls just as hard at 2800-3000 as it does at 1800-2000. I got my GSK from Piers. Maybe his set up is different than TST's..... I don't know. But I do recall reading something somewhere about "Piers' designed spring seats". I don't know if that amounts to a beer fart in a whirlwind either, but I do know the truck runs as hard at 2800 rpm as it does at 1800, and I get there a little quicker.
