I like mine but it is overpriced for what you get. As for accuracy it has been right on every time. Should have a moving map and bigger screen for that kind of money. I don't find the music part of the radio to be so great. Infinity Sound System!!! Give me a break. It's only average at best. The computerized womans voice is a cute addition. FWIW, I flew behind Garmins and always found them to be unerringly accurate. Magellan too but a little less complex, feature-wise than the Garmin, which for aviation at least, is more upscale. (read expensive)

The RB1 works great. I ordered my truck with the standard radio that comes in the SLT and purchased the RB1 off the internet. It only took about a 1/2 hour to swap the radios. This way I got the RB1 for less than the RB4 option. It may cost more than some of the other units, but you get a factory fit that is easy to install. I added a 6-disc changer too because it's the only way to listen to a CD and use the Nav system at the same time. Pictures of the CD install are in my readers rigs.

iQUE GPS

I use a Garmin iQue GPS. It is also a Palm. Has a good size screen. It sits on the dash in a movable beanbag mount. You can use an external antenna if you want to mount it in a cup holder, etc. The power cord has a speaker which is quite loud. It can take up to a 512meg chip which can hold a lot of maps. It comes with a cd of the US and you download the ones you want. I also use another chip for boating with nautical charts. I have a bike mount as well and use it on my Harley. It's a neat unit and you can get one for under $500.

The iQue isn't waterproof. So if you get caught in a rainstorm that might be an issue.

I thought the RB1 was ~1500, no?

stevenknapp,

The RB4 option is a little over $1500. 00. I found the RB1 on the web for $1300. 00. Keep in mind that I still have the original radio too. I have never used the other units mentioned, so I can't compare one to another. But I can say I'm very happy with the RB1.

RB1

For you bargin hunters like me. There is a RB1 on E-bay now.

the item # is 5703303823.

The RB1 is a fine unit It works great ,its easy to install, and looks much better than having wires running here and there, I know I had that.

The current price on E-bay is around $700. 00

Actually, I sort of like that "Back to the Future Delorean" look! ;)

I bought a new RB1 on Ebay for $921 and I am going to sell the six disc changer on Ebay so my final price on the RB1 shouldn't be bad at all.
