I have the GPS from Dodge. It was installed by the dealer. I am new to the hole GPS thing and was wondering if i have to have the cd in it to make it work? I guess it is capable of having a cd shuttle hooked up to it. I do not have the cd shuttle. If I get the shuttle will I sill have to take the GPS mapping software out in order to get the cd's to play? That is definitely a major over site! I mean what good is a GPS if I have to stop my cd and put that damn GPS cd back in to have my GPS work! Please tell me that there is a solution to this problem.

Kerm: I'm not real up-to-date on the Dodge navigation system... . but on other systems the CD/DVD only is needed to upload the information once to the headunit... you can then take the disc out. Then if a new CD/DVD comes out with updated information you'll repeat the process.

It would be REALLY stupid if you had to keep the CD/DVD in the headunit so that it could read the map information off it.

Did you check the owner's manual for tips/suggestions?

Matt

H/H, Kerm is right all you do is load the info in and remove the disk,We have GPS and
