Grabhandle over pass. door....installation?

I read in a post about installing a grab handle over the passenger door. For the life of me I have searched through TDR and cannot find the darn thing. I ordered a handle from the dealer and I remember the post saying installation is easy because the holes are already there. Am I correct in that assumption or did I misread the original post. My partner and I both bought 2001 quad cabs and he has the handle while I do not. My wife is insisting on the handle to get into the truck. Thanks for the help

I would measure the pillar on your freinds truck and drill the holes in the plastic accordingly. The holes in the steel bodywork underneath are already there from the factory. I have done this on other vehicles and it's a piece of cake.

If you pull the top door molding aside at the headliner you can look under the headliner and see where then grab handle mounting holes are located. I cut out the headliner when I installed the handle in my 01.

Thanx again jacobs. I took the handle off my 99 before I traded it to put on my 01. 5, when I saw the size of the holes I put it back on. I was wondering how I was going to carve the headliner correctly the first time. I thought my wife was persistant to the point of being a little pushy about the handle, I can see that she is not the only one. Now I know what to get her for XMAS.
