Is there a Houston meeting in December?

Garmon Diesel Performance Grand Opening December 7th at Jeff's McDonough Ga. location. Those of you that have been to one of his garage days already know this will be pure fun. The DPM dyno will be available to those that want a dyno run.

Come early and stay late.

Anyone needing info drop me an e-mail or call Jeff, 770-898-8585

Oo. Oo.

Good luck guys! I wish you opened this past weekend, I was just in GA, but 17 hours driving, I'll havta wait to see the new shop. :(

Have fun! Rob

STP?

Is STP no longer? Or is it that Jeff isn't part of STP. Scuttlebutt is that Harvey and Jeff are moving in different directions.

What the closest major city and how close?

I know where Atlanta, Columbus, Savannah, Augusta, Leary, Ringgold, Plains, Albany, Chestnut Mtn, Braselton, and Lake Laknier are.

Never heard of McDonough. North/South/East/West? little help.

WadePatton;

McDonough is about 15-20 miles south of Atlanta, the shop is right off I75, at least, that's what Mapquest told me.

Josiah

The shop is located off I-75 just south of Atlanta.

Industrial Park drive goes between exits 218 and 216 on the east side of I-75. Park West Center is located off of Industrial Park Dr.

Josiah posted the correct address.

See everyone there...

I made it... ... Jeff is a great guy... ... and that little blue dakota of his with the 5. 9 diesel in it is one bad mutha... ... . If memory serves me it dyno'ed at 440 HP... .....

Also picked up a Suncoast valve body while I was there (installed it tonight in about 1. 5 hours)... ... . Nice to know there is a good place to find the right parts within about 1. 5 hours of home :)

We didnt make it until about 4pm but there was still a crowd and the dyno was still rolling... ...

Sorry I could not be there. I finished my Con ofe clutch install about 4pm saturday and figured I missed all the action:( But the clutch is in and holding good, should be ready for the next dyno/race day. Anyone know of upcoming events?

Shaft, how did I miss you or did I meet you?

I was so busy running the trucks I really didn't have enough time to talk to folks like I wanted to. We did have a blast though. I dyno'd quite a few trucks and when most found out I was giving away FREE dyno's for the Grand Opening, the line got longer.

Yes the Dakota put out 440 which was not bad since we got the transmission fixed Friday. That Dakota has been down since the Atlanta race if you can believe that.

Another nice run was Randy Cobb. Randy with an Edge Comp and Bully Dog IV's hit 402HP. Not bad folks. Another real surprise of the day was a 6 sec 1/8 mile Mustang. He did not use the gas for the run but without the gas he generated a whopping 250hp and 235 lb. ft. Do ya think the Diesel guys where poking the chest out. :D

Jeff and I had a great time, thanks to all that came and help out.

Shaft, I live in Gillsville, so stay in touch.

Yeah, I had a great time too.

I tell you what though David, I wasn't sticking my chest out at the Gasser, I was giving out good old fasioned Belly-Laughs. That thing was so friggen loud that it shook the building, I was expecting at least 300 hp.

All in all, I had a good time.

I want to thank David for the Dyno and Jeff for the use of his new shop.

Josiah

Well dang... no one told me the dyno runs were free:{ If I had known that I would have slapped mine up there, though I would probably end up embarassing myself with the little stuff I have:D

It was fun though... now I can't wait to sell my old vehicle and get to work:)

Any thoughts on another dyno day in a couple months or so?

Will

Dang... ... the dyno runs were FREE??? I asked the guy running the machine and he said $75... ... ohh well lol... ... . Its just as well, mine would have been a DOG with the PDR HX-40 and stock fueling :)

Dont know if we met or not David... ... I was around when the gasser ford truck and the wine colored dodge (belonged to the guy that used to work for Jeff) were run... . his pulled a respectable 351 hp... ... dont know about the ford... ...

Shaft,

The F-150 put out about 250hp and 230ish ft-lbs.

I know what you mean... mine wouldn't have been any better either. I want to wait to run it until I have something to show

Shaft, the guy running the dyno was me. :D Sorry, I thought you were asking what the normal price was, not for the Grand Opening. Sorry. :(

I didn't plan on doing the runs for free and didn't advertise as such, but I was having such a good time and in the spirit of Christmas, I just decided to not take the money.

The gasser F150 did 160 hp with about 230 tq. That guy was more interested in a top speed run, which was 118 mph before the computer shut it down.

We can have another dyno day when ever the need arises. The dyno stays at the shop unless I have an event elsewhere. I'll also give you guys a hint. If we can setup a day and I can get commitments on runs, I WILL cut the price for the runs. I just need a commitment on a group of atleast 10 runs.

Also even if you have not upgraded, the dyno is perfect for watching how the upgrades change total power output AND where the power is delivered in the power band. Example was Mikes Dually. Mike had previously made runs of 250hp with mild fueling adjustments to his pump. Saturday we installed 370's in his truck and saw a 95HP gain!!! We also saw a change in where his power was delivered in the RPM band. Good info...
