OK you guys who have been underneath your rig already and fondled her underpinnings: How many nipples does she have? :p

I'm curious if the front end is any more serviceable than the previous generation. I added several zerks to my 2001 and at 85,000 miles it's as tight as new (and this 2-wheel drive's seen her share of molar-rattling roads)

I want to hear from you 2-wheel drive guys. . .

Vaughn

I have been under my 2003 2 wheel drive, but was not looking for grease zerks, but I di look at the ball joints and tie rod ends and there are none there, nor is there little plugs to pull out to put any in either, the u[pper and lower control arms are the same way.

I think there may be one on the clutch cross shaft, but really haven't looked that far, I just popped over 300 miles on mine this evening, so greasing really has not come to mind yet.

Hope this helps.

Hey Vaughn, I am usually pretty good at finding the nipples. I don't think there is one under there. Sort of leaves ya with that cold empty feeling doesn't it?

Casey,

I think those nipples are easier to find on the Canadian models. They may have to be greased more due to the cold winters:D .

I'm affraid she only has 2 and their at the outer tie-rods. I'm sure that after a 100,000 miles or so she'll have more because of the dry and worn steering componenets and u-joints I'll have replaced! :(
