I have a 2006 ,3500, auto, 4X4. I have tried to find the grease fitting for the front drive shaft Could not find. NEED HELP. Could someone please show a picture of the actually location of the grease fitting?
Interesting. I have just bought an 06 and noticed this in the owners manual. There is even a picture on where to lube, transfer case end. But you couldn't find the zirk fitting (don't know if I spelled that right)?? I'll try to look this weekend to see if I can find anything. My 03 didn't mention anything like this.
It's actually a needle fitting... if you lay under the transmission, look past the front of the cross member then rotate the driveline untill you see the lube spot between the forward CV Joint and the CV center section.
If you do a search on the subject, I think you'll find that someone took some pretty good pictures of the fitting. It's very hard to see, but it's there.
