It greases the ball and socket part of the dual cardan joint. The u-joints are still non-greasable. It is a great thing they added it IMHO. I have had that area fail on other shafts because of wear adn the greasable center helps that out alot.
I greased mine at the first oil change. When I first got the truck and saw the underhood sticker telling you to grease the driveshaft, I crawled underneath and searched for about 30 minutes without finding the little grease hole. I was looking for a zerk fitting. After I saw the TDR picture I found it right away.
Easy for you to say... I don't have any pavement at my house... and you have to have the drive shaft in just the right spot to get to the little eyelet.
Na... I am taking it back to them and they will do it like they should have in the first place... that is where they can fix the rest of the stuff they messed up from the last visit.
I just greased the dual cardan joint on my truck today. I got the grease gun, needle attachment and high quality grease (part #985) from NAPA. When doing this, only give the fitting a half stroke on the grease gun. Don't over-do it or you'll foul-up the seals.
