cummins in a 98 F150

89 Dana 60

From and earlier post I received an absolutely fantastic reference for Ford/Cummins conversion information. I don't quite remember who did it, but he mentioned the name of Randy Blueth @ Reliable Diesel in Mesa, Arizona. I just spent two days off in the Phoenix area and dropping in and out of Randy's shop. He is an absolute bundle of information and advice as well as being a very enjoyable person to talk to. He's also a fellow duner.

Anyone contemplating a cummins swap would do very well to look him up.

COPTERDOC... ... Randy said that he was glad that you were happy with the way the engine mounts worked out.

I was able to see one of Randy's conversions and the 24 valve cummins looked very comfortable in the "91" Ford's engine bay. Simply fits like it belongs there.

Thanks again,

I'm almost done with it. Took it for a drive and I am very happy. I will have some pics up tonight. I still have to mount the airbox and tweak my alt.

No, unfortuneately I did not get to see Reliable Randy's sandrail but he did say something about the turbo setup still had the wastegate opened wide and a "way overboost" condition and still did not break it.
