If it is the one Jerry Jardine sells then I wouldn't expect any hidden charges. I ordered my exhaust from him last year when they had the free shipping with 5" stainless tip deal... Very happy with the exhaust.

I concur with Mr. Brewski!

Rip is one he!! of a nice guy who does whatever it takes to please the customer. :D

I just had Rip (plus he allowed me to help) remove my Banks Dynaflow (22" long) stainless steel muffler a week and a half ago. After which, we installed two stainless steel MagnaFlow mufflers (in series)... a 24" long muffler with a shorter, but identical, 14" long muffler 21" ahead of the other one. After adding a 5", slash-cut MagnaFlow polished stainless steel exhaust tip, it looked and sounded (sounds) like a million!

Gone is the drone I used to have with the Banks Dynaflow muffler! :D

Also, after installing all the joints with a proprietary secret, he tacked the joints, I reduced and smoothed same with a die grinder, after which, I installed stainless steel band clamps (bolts up of course :D ) for a REALLY clean, custom appearance.

Thanks Rip!

I have Rips exhaust as well. Did the install myself. It sounds great and I do not hear any "drone". It defintely gives the trruck a big rig sound especially when towing the 5er. :D

Is the Better Deal really a better deal or is there any adders like a "Boxing Charge" ?? or upcharge for putting the system on your credit dard? I guess if you can drive to the place , but if you have to have it shipped, then that's a different story. It looks like there are several folks out there building quatity 4" systems for our trucks. Take your pick & spend your bucks. Wisley I hope.

While I am sure Rip has a great system, it appears by looking at the web site that if you want hangers you pay an additional $61. 00. Clamps are $10. 00, box charge is $20. 00, and a 4% ($14. 96) for using a credit card. This totals up to $479. 96. Not trying to bash anyone, but one need to evaluate all of the charges involved.

Note: I do not own either of these systems.....

windsor fox sells everything for $425, although if you live in Calif. you have to pay sales tax. They also install them at their shop, I don't know what they charge for labor to install.

Jerry Jardine is selling a complete kit for 399. 00 right now. This does not come with the 5" SS tip, but is still a good deal.

I guess all this competition is good for the consumer. I wonder what kind of Christmas specials we'll see this year... .

I met Jerry Jardine in Muncie, IN a year ago and talked to him for some information and after getting the information he handed me his keys and told me where his truck was parked and told me to take it for a ride. I did that and then I ordered the exhaust from him that he would ship when he returned home. I love the exhaust I have on the truck now. NO wierd noises or drone. I don't have any experience with other manufactures' systems and I am not trying to put any system down. I just wanted to say there was NO hidden charges and the system came with all the clamps and hangers and at that time the shipping was free. I received what I paid for in MHO.

Being I have met both of the individuals discussed in this post, I thought I would chime in.

I met and BSed with Jerry Jardine this month while on my vacation. I also have his system on the White Obsession. I have been very pleased with the Jardine system, their prompt customer service and after talking with Jerry, just confirms that he runs a first class business and builds quality exhaust systems. And I must say I love the "Deep Throaty Sound" with no drone.

I also know Rip! Rip is a great guy! I have seen and heard his system, and I can tell you that he builds a quality system (as Jardine), and if you have him install it for you, it is a first class system.

I haven't had the opportunity to stand outside on the road and have both system drive by so I could listen to them, but I can tell you that both systems are quality systems. Jerry Jardine has been around for years and has an excellent reputation and warranty. I'm not sure what Rip's warranty is, however I know he will take care of any problems that occur.

Having said that, I think both systems are great and which ever one you choose, you will receive a quality product that will provide you many years of service.

Rip is definately a stand up guy! If any of you has seen John's truck, then you know when he let's someone work in it besides him..... that really says something about the Vendor/Technician... . etc. etc that is taking a wrench, Laptop, chopsaw, welder etc. etc to Blackout.

BTW John's truck sounds really nice..... just too quiet :p

I like my little 16" muff.

I agree with Bob. I also have a 4" Jardine/Pinnacle Performance exhaust on my truck. The mandrel bent pipe over the axle cracked on the side facing the drive shaft. I called Pinnacle Performance and they sent me a new section of pipe no charge. Their systems have a lifetime guarantee. First class operation. -Glen
