Houston Meeting this Sunday?

1st Ever Kansas City Diesel Club Meeting March 24th

Just want to start the tread on what a great time we had for the oregon bomb party. Exhausts were installed, some injectors done, my own fuel pump pusher with filter installed... .

Sad to say I forgot my camera but others had video and stills so look them up on NW bombers website

I drove 560 miles to get to it and got the prize for longest distance driven to attend:D A fin guard from Genos:D

Thanks to all that put this together

Eric

Eric, it was great having you...

Hope to see ya again at May Madness.

In the mean time, I do believe I have a little video of you, but it didn't turn out well. I'll know more later, as I seem to recall getting you and your truck at least 3 times. As it is, I'm slowly working through the tape, but with almost 2 hours of video, it's gonna take me a while to decide what's decent and make appropriate video of it.

Woohoo!

Man what a blast!

It was nice seeing all my old friends as well as meeting many new ones!

A very big THANK YOU to my friend Big Bob and his wife Kathy for a sneak attack, belated birthday party, to which, they brought two birthday cakes and all the fixins' (my birthday was earlier in the week so I thought I was safe from embarrassment). If that was not embarrassment enough, they led everyone in singing Happy Birthday. Talk about TOTALLY unexpected! My face must have been about as Red as Rob's Ram!

Face it Bob and Kathy, you loved seeing me blush. :-laf

The NW BOMBers party went well, complete with initiation Piers style; pnwradar tapped on the underside of Desert Ram's under carriage in orchestrated unison with the engine after it was started following the injector swap. :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf Welcome to the big leagues buddy! :D

Any guesses who put him up to it?

Yep, that's right, his brother-in-law, Rob Hanson.

:--)

Many thanks to Desert Ram's parents, Rex and Sylvia for hosting the NW BOMBers get together.

I almost forgot...

congratulations Eric on the Fin Guard :)

Actually, the Fin Guard was donated by TDR member and NW BOMBer, Dave Perea. Dave and his wife Diana produce the trick aluminum fin guards that are sold through Geno's Garage.

Not to take anything away from Geno's Garage (as they have very graciously donated things to other events we have had out here in the northwest...

... just wanted to give credit to the proper party. :)

Thank you Dave!

BTW, Dave is famous (again)...

his personalized license plate is featured in the latest issue of the TDR... 1HOTRAM (page 113)... ... and also in the same issue (page 123) a pic of his Ram is featured with a caption that is not correct.

For any of you that have never had the pleasure of seeing Dave's Ram in person, you are REALLY missing one AWESOME Ram!!!! Trick doesn't even begin to describe it! NOT EVEN!

:--)

It was great to get together in Pendelton. The weather was classic Oregon High Desert almost spring like. I know John wont agree with the spring. :D :D Big Bob cooked up some hotdogs and there was also a big casserole dish full of Moose meatballs. They were both excellent. There was plenty of work being done ie; exhaust install, pyro install, pusher pump install etc. Plus there was plenty of good ole boy BSin.

forgot to mention that when I got the pusher pump going, I was doing some accelleration tests, and I got 3 psi more boost than I was getting :D so that makes me wonder if the lift pump was going out, that will be the next thing to be done when it warms up in a week or 2. meanwhile the lift pump will get a break from having to pull the fuel. Pusher pump is mounted as close to the tank outlet as possible, mearly 1. 5' or so separates the pusher pump from the top of the tank.

John

Thanks for letting me know who was the maker of the fin guard, I really like it, I put a few vynil tranfer stickers on it and I am looking for a ram head and such... It looks like it could supplement a winter guard helper when it is really cold like -10 or so ...

Thanks again everybody that was there, It was fun and I don't mind the drive, got 19 mpg on the way back running 65 most of the way and had rain too.

Eric
