The way I do it is to mark the bottom of the tire and a mark at the same place on the ground, roll the tire one revolution till the mark is on the ground again then measure the distance. If you need to get more accurate do five revs, measure and divide by five. This method will measure the exact diameter, many different tire manufactors sizes don't jive with the diameters, they all seem to be a little different.

You're right

This is the best method to be precise, In fact when I get new tires I'm going to do this and when they're wore out - the same for kicks and giggles.

This will measure the tire circumphranse... divide this by 3. 14159 to get the diameter.

Check both sides!

To see how much stagger you have. Oo.

Do this before and after leaving the local "establishment" to see if you'll stagger home. :p

Congrats Blakers, right after I posted I realized I left pi out of the equation. Figured what the heck, lets see if anyone notices.

So once you figure the diameter then how do you figure out the difference in the odometer reading & figure your mileage out?

I'm asking cause I just put new skins on?
