Greetings,

Took delivery yesterdayOo. Oo.

Needs some muffler surgery in the worst way;)

Very happy with my choice. Today the line X is being installed. Then I'll get to those well well liners on the porch:D .

chessie-system,

Congrads on the truck that's the first picture I've seen of a green one. I think you need to nickname it the "Jolly Green Giant" :D. Anyways keep us updated on the likes and dislikes of your truck

Joe

Congratulations on your new truck. Where did you get the wheel liners and how much?I'm not used to hearing rocks sling off the tires.

Hey Jeff,

Congrats on the new truck. That green looks good on her. Hope you are as happy with your rig as I am with mine.

I had been debating in my head about what color my next Ram would be. Forest Green is new for 03, and I had yet to actually see it. That looks terrific - with the Taupe interior, that would really work for me.

Greetings,

The Wheel well liners were $77 and they list for $88 and they are from the dealer and are in the 03' add ons book. Took 15 minutes to install... just gently force them over the tire and use the existing holes in the fender and frame:D

The Line-X went well. Those of you considering a spray in liner make sure your installer sprays the access panel for the tail gate handle seperately so you can remove it for servicing if necessary.

Thanks for the kind comments

Jeff

I'm thinking green

Jeff,

Do you have any other pictures? I'm starting to seriously consider the Timberline Green, but most of the '03 trucks on the lots here are dealer ordered. Thus, they're all "standard" (easier to move) colors. I've seen a few Durangos in this color & I'm pretty convinced. (Have 'til spring to decide - I'll keep the "beater" thru the Michigan winter/salt).

For those who haven't seen the green trucks, the color is similar to the green used on the recent model trucks except it is a bit brigher and richer green, a little more vibrant. To be honest though I think I like the old green better, it's a bit more subdued, but that's just me, this new green does look very nice :)

Green Giant update.

Just finished installing the molded splash guards. Took about an hour for all four. They look decent.

Likes about the truck

Nice strong steady idle

rear windows go ALL the way down

storage under center seat is sweet:)

Truck stops straight with a rock hard pedal

trip computer is nice

engine hour meter is great for us Turbo Heads

I can go thru the drive thru and not SCREAM my order:D

Dislikes

rear view mirror needs to be higher. I rotated mine around and fixed that problem

passenger side mirror is useless. It is not one of those that gives you a nice panoramic view of the side of the vehicle and makes lane changes during traffic time a real danger:(

the six speed could use a taller overdrive and can shift easier.

Why the heck doesn't Dodge put wheel well liners on a $36K+ vehicle:mad:

The HP is decent but the torque needs to peak out at around 700 Ft Lbs.

I'll get some more pics loaded as soon as I down size them.

Cheesie, I'm curious why you didn't do the line-x over the rail. I just had mine done last week and had the dealer do over the rail and over the tailgate and front wall. He did a great job so I don't need to add diamond plate bed rails.
