here in most parts of CA, the diesel pump is the only one without a vapor return line, so its a single skinny hose. the gas pumps have the thicker vapor recovery setups.

I too saw this in my recent Cummins eMail. I was surprised because all I have seen thus far has been green handles and hoses for diesel. I fill up 90% of the time at the same station because the people who work there take care to keep water out, and filters clean, and my truck runs great on it! But those times I have to fill up on a trip, I will definitely watch those pumps!

Just came home from a 10,000 mile trip And glad I'm not the only on who experienced the black handle. Pulled into a BP green handle said diesel above and started to pump gas . The wife saw it before i did . Only put i n3/4 of a gallon . So watch the BP pumps their handles are black.

Since when? I've used the big-rig pumps many times. Works great!

I see mostly ORANGE for diesel pumps and handles ...

at my Hess stations in NY. I try and stick to 2 or 3 regular stations and have had no problems with them. Early on, before I knew better, I filled up at a "discount" station and seemed to have starting issues after I did that. I'm more careful now. The Citgo stations here are always the cleanest and have the most modern pumps, but are always 30 or more cents per gallon higher! I don't use them because of who owns them.

That's all I normally use is the big rig pumps.

Since when? I've used the big-rig pumps many times. Works great!

One of my dumbest tricks ever, was to put in 10 gals. of premium ( light blue handle) before I smelled gas and realized the sunglasses I had on made the handle look green.

I use the big fast flow rig pumps when ever I can, and yes, they fit!

I agree, they fit in my truck. I actually prefer them, I can drop 30 gallons in there in about a minute! My uncle was jealous 'cuz his powerjoke had a tiny hole and had to use the normal pumps... . he has a Dodge now.

What was I thinking? I've only tried this at a CO-OP that had a hook on the end of the nozzles at the "big truck" fuel pumps, which prevented me from even putting the nozzle in the tank. Apparently, they put that on there so the nozzle doesn't come out of the truck tank. I stand corrected, though. I'm so used to filling my old gasser, that I forgot about this thing not having the flapper and small hole, LOL. Without that stupid hook, I could've put the big nozzle in the tank.
