Funny you mention Fox News... That is the only news that I see also.

The weather here isnt that bad (yet) Yesterday it rained, and a thunderstorm rolled through. Temps are in the mid 70's, and it is kinda windy. The windy dry conditions here is similar to West Texas, and the terrain is like the Rio Grande Valley with the scrub and sand. Overall, things are prettty comfortable.

Thanks for the support guys... It means a LOT!

Great post John!

Keep your powder dry and keep a close watch on the locals at all times, the guy walking on the roadside could be a Kuwaiti or he could be an Al Quaida terrorist "blending in".

Good luck, and God Bless. .

John,

Great post! Thank you for your service to our country. Thank you to all the folks over there protecting our nation at this important time. We look forward to your safe return;) !

Take care..

JC,

I was in Saudi/Kuwait/Iraq in the previous rendition of Desert Storm. We hosted and processed 80,000 of our closest Iraqi friends in what was called the West EPW Camp. (POW for you civilian types) Couple 'o things...

a) Thanks for stepping up to the plate, not everyone appreciates you being there, but most of us do. A lot.

b) If you need anything at all, let me know PM. I'll be happy to ship books, cd's, shampoo, etc. <wink, wink>

c) Be careful driving. It's like a comic version of an old driver's training film.

d) Buy the t-shirts at the PX's. Mine provide amusement even to this day.

e) If you can afford it, you might consider a nice rug. Will cost you a couple bucks now, but mine is easily worth 10x what I paid for it. (silver blue silk/wool Pakistani is what I purchased)

Take care, be safe and don't let your guard down.

Thank You!

JConley, thank you for your service. My family and I appreciate everything you're doing and everything you're sacrificing to protect us.

And to any other TDR member in the service or to any TDR member who has a member of their family (or friend) in the service, I'd like to thank you as well. Our thoughts and prayers remain with you.

Be safe.

John, While I only know you in cyberspace, I am proud of you and all of your comrads in arms in the middle east. Like tpuig said about any needs you guys and gals might need over there... just drop me an email or post an address where we TDR members can ship you "Stuff". Had a neighbor kid that was in the 82nd airborne in the first go round 12 years ago, He told me that they were only 30 miles out of Bagdad and couldn't understand why we didn't go in and kick Sadams ASS then. OUR country made a mistake IMO by not getting him out then.

Tell SADAM to "KISS OUR ASS"#@$%! #@$%!.

STAY SAFE AND MAY GODS GRACE BE WITH ALL OF OUR AMERICAN TROOPS. Chris

Stay safe

Stay safe over there - as we support you !

Thought for the day-

Going to war without France is like going deerhunting without an accordian !

JConley I saw last night that yall are commencing to kick some a** over there. Have not heard from you lately guess you have more important things to do. Keep us posted when you can. Be safe. WE ARE HERE AND SUPPORT YOU:mad:
