Competition 400 rwh = what quarter mile time?

Competition Vp44 To A P7100?

This news today saddened and shocked me. Greg will be sadly and sorely missed here in So Cal, he was a very active part of our local group here. He was ALWAYS willing to give me a hand with local events and never afraid to lend advice and would literally give you the shirt off his back. (I know because he actually did it for me once!)

For those of who have met him and dealt with him, his character and signature laugh will be remembered and not forgotten.

Everyone go home and hug your loved ones.

God speed my friend.

This is how I remember Greg, and knowing him like I did, how he would like to be remembered. This image is from one of my Dyno Days in 2003- back when Greg still had his 2nd Gen. I will search through our archives and see If I can find some better shots. Greg doing what he did best- makin smoke and stiring the pot!

I'm Drop jawed. My condolences to Greg's Family. What a fierce competitor, and all around good guy. We talked only a couple of weeks ago...

I sat for a while thinking of something cleaver to say, and figured a cliche' wasn't his style. He was a take action type of fellow. So, in the best way I can think of right now, I'd like to take care of some business for him.

Edited out solicitation. Please see my explanation below.

I just got done editing my post and testing the buttons you guys have already stepped up to the plate with donations... Not even 10 minutes after the account is made and we broke $120.

TDR is Great group of guys that I'm proud to be a part of.

Still can't believe it?

What a great guy and friend... He will be surely missed by all his family and friends. This is unbelievable and my prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

I'm sitting here in a meeting, hit a dull point, and decided to look at the forum. I'm still in shock. I've had several great phone calls and lots of pms with greg over the last few years, regarding personal life, trucks, and business. He was a very motivated, enthusiastic, and generous guy. . the type that would bend over backward for a friend, and placed paramount importance in his family life. From being a roadie for Nirvana and other bands back in the day, to becoming a fixture in the dodge truck suspension and racing world, greg covered a lot of ground (sometimes a few feet up in the air!). RIP Greg, you will be sorely missed, and I wish the best of luck to his wife and children, and my deepest condolences.

I will be wearing my DRC shirt to work tomorrow (dress down fridays here in the office) in Greg's honor. I'd suggest anyone else that has one do the same.

The suddeness is shocking and saddening. In the few calls that I had with Greg, he was very helpful and enthusiastic. My thoughts go to his family. They need to know that he had a positive impact on hundreds, if not thousands of guys like us and that is truly a good thing! RIP, GB

wow I just read this over on NWBombers site. .

I just spoke to Greg a couple weeks ago about some items for my Dually. . known Greg from a long time ago at one of the MM events probably the first one in Vegas. .

what a shocker, he will be missed by all his friends and family in the diesel and race comunity.

prayers go out to Greg's family , and Gods speed my friend.

For those of you who've not visited either the Rattlin Rams website or the TDR website and have not heard the news, I must sadly inform you that our long time member and friend Greg Boardman passed away after being involved in a automobile collision on Tuesday night.

Greg was the owner of DRC (Desert Racing Concepts) and an active and very supportive member of both our local group and the TDR. He was a fun loving guy who would give you a hard time in fun, and turn around and hand you the shirt from his back. His passion for our trucks and breaking things off road iw what he is known for. He was very active in the desert racing community, where I know he will be sorely missed. Greg was very helpful to me personally in lending a hand behind the scenes at numerous SCRR events.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for everything he did for me, us, and the countless individuals who he was willing to help out. Many may not have agreed with his strong opinions, but everyone would have to admit he was a great comrad and his infectious laugh and antics will be long remembered.

Sean of Lorenz Industries, with my blessings, has setup a Memorial Fund to help Greg's wife and Family.

To donate, please go to:https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ext-enter&redirect_cmd=_xclick&first_name=Greg&last_name=Boardman&business=gregboardmanmemorialfund%40hotmail%2Ecom&item_name=The+Family+of+Greg+Boardman&no_shipping=1&pbtype=donation&bn=paywiz4mso-001. 000&mrb=R-4VT64848FL959270J

Or you can always visit the SCRR website or TDR website. Information is located there as well.

My condolences to his wife Rebecca, and to his family.

Godspeed my friend.

Respectfully,

Kevin "Kev" Marlin

That just plain sucks. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. My impression was of a very knowledgeable and passionate person...

What a loss.

Although I never met, talked, or even purchased anything from Greg, I always enjoyed reading his posts. He was always going above and beyond.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

What a sad day... I only talked to him a few times on the phone back when I was considering a race suspension. What a guy... . Wished I wouldve bought the glass fenders and light bar now. My prayers are with his family. I've met some awesome people on the forums and have made great relationships with some of you guys. Losing one of you is like losing family...

If someone knows if I can get a DRC light bar to put on my truck please pm the info.

Request From TDR Admin

As I posted earlier, we are tremendously saddened by this tragic loss. But this thread is putting me in a very bad position.

Lorenz has organized a very tender, very laudable initiative on behalf of Greg's family. I applaud his intentions.

But, we have not allowed solicitations on the website in the past, and to allow this to proceed is very unfair to all of the others who have requested they be allowed to do the same in the past.

Why do we feel it is important to disallow solicitations? As I explained to Sean:

1. We do not know when each and every TDR member is in need.

2. TDR members presume that if something is posted on the TDR forums that it has been verified by a TDR staff member. This is simply not possible considering the tremendous number of posts made on our website daily. And while this initiative is completely and totally as it is represented, not all are.

3. Some families do not want their loss put in the public domain. It is impossible for us to determine when it is and is not desired.

Sean instructed me to "If the Link/post/thread needs to be removed, would you edit it for me to your satifaction. And leave behind the imfamous 'edited by TDR admin' note. "

So, as much as my heart would like to allow this fund-raising project, if I am to consistently enforce our website guidelines, I must regretfully remove the direct solicitation from this thread.

Sean and others, please feel free to put up a memorial page on your website and post a link to it. I as well as the TDR will be gladly making a donation, but I must sincerely request your support as I have to take this most difficult action.

Thank you.

Robin

What a loss. I really did enjoy his posts and admired his projects. Just from the pictures the guy personified perfection. Tough/sad news to swallow. God Speed +50 Bud- we will see you later... Drew

I didn't know him personally--but everything I heard about him was that he was a great guy. Prayers go out to him, family and his friends.

God bless,
