Does anybody know if I can put a grid heater in my chevy without too much effort? I have a first gen in the truck and I put a manifold, intake and grid heater off of an second gen motor on my truck for the cold months an now I need to know how to wire it. I have the wiring from the intake to the resistors but I need to know how to wire it from the chevy. My new house is at about 6500 ft in altitude and the winters are cold so I want the grid heater if possible. Also, any of you guys in the cold country, do I need to get a fuel heater? I have racor filters and I think they make a fuel heater that screw right on the existing filters.

grid heater in my chevy conversion ?

First of all if your old intake had to wire terminals with 1/4''

bolts on top of the intake in back it had a grid heater . My 90 engine has one

so does my 92

to wire them up if your chevy was a 6. 2 you have the magnetic starter relay

simply run a hot wire from it to the grid heater then into a push buttn in the truck to energize it .

Just use fuel anti gel and you should be fine orcall a filter shop but i dont think you nee a after market fuel heater
