Well cold weather is around the corner and ol red has a problem. Sometimes on cool mornings the grids will heat then again nothing. They used to heat at around 50 degrees. The other morn it was 40 and nothing. Intermittent problems suck! Any help will be appreciated. (AINT LOOKING FORWARD TO THE 2007 FORD/CUMMINGS MARRIAGE) :{ Thanks JLIGHT

Big battery along with starter, alternator in good condition, air tight fuel system, the grid heaters are not needed. I have no problem starting my truck unplugged down to -10*F with no grid heaters. Cold start advance and grid heaters   :-laf , not used on the other 100's of thousands Cummins engines out there...

sounds like the relays , but check them before you replace em, also temp sensor , maybe spray some contact cleaner on the conections to sensor.
