Hunter4x4- if you are relying on the factory gauge alone, I wouldnt worry about it til I confirmed what the gauge says by a voltmeter. My gauge reads only 12-12. 5 volts, but the alternator actually puts out a hair under 14.

Thanks! I was partially going by the relative position of the indicator needle - it's a little further to the low voltage side than it was in the past - obviuosly indicating a little more draw.



But I'll check it out anyway!!

The news keeps getting better. I just bought two more relays from the Carlton-Bates company, they have the best price yet. $11. 01 each. I spoke with three different people over the last two days and got three different prices, all within two dollars. I ordered the relays ( power contactors as they call them ) from a gal named Beverly Johnson at 1-800-482-9313. The company is in AR and are pleasant to deal with. Use the Stancor part# 120-901 when ordering. This should save us all some money! Doug
