My 07 does the same thing, about like the a/c compressor engagement jolt that is always nice in the summer. I will check the rail pressure sensor and see if that seems to fix the issue. Thanks for the info guys!!
 
BTW guys, I did notice the last time my truck did this (a few days ago) the grid heater actuaclly quit cycling without being put in gear. If I remember correctly, isnt it supposed to cycle until you exceed 20mph or so? Just wondering if this could help diagnose any other possible culprits to the issue.

The Grid heater will stop cycling if the engine temp is in normal operating range or the intake temp rises above the preset value.

I see. Any ideas on why the grid heater would quit cycling immediately after cycling off and jolting the truck??? This is the first time I have ever noticed this happen. I had just started it and there was no way the engine was up to temp or the intake temp was warm enough yet.
