Grid Heaters

When I started my truck this morning the grid heaters seemed to cycle several times while I was warming the truck. Is this normal?

Yes, it is normal.

Very normal. The colder it gets, the more they cycle on and off. Just to be safe, I let my truck idle until the grid heater stops cycling, then drive it. I think the auto high idle helps shorten this dramatically.
