I thought that my alternator was going, yunno, alt light on, gage in the 9's. I did notice that the truck had lost some power though so I checked the grid heater wires. WOW, burnt my hand the were so hot. Melted the insulation too. Is this a relay problem of something else? I find it hard to beleive that BOTH relays went bad at the same time?????????

Any ideas??????

Hard to say. it is improbable that both relays would fail 'on' simultaneously, but not impossible.

Yes, most likely one or both heater relays failed. You can buy a new OEM part and hope they last, or you can look at http://home.adelphia.net/~npmrphy/relay.pdf
for info on installing better relays. I've had mine in for about a year now, and have had no problems with them as yet.
