Grill Cover

I want to get a grill cover for cold weather. I know that Dodge dealers offer one that keeps the 10% opening that is recommended. With what they charge for oil, filters, etc. , I think I like to see if there are other better options. Do any of you use one, and/or have any suggestions of where to look. I had a good one on my old GMC diesel that came from Cabala's, but they don't seem to have anything for Dodge.

I have just had it rolled up on top of the radiator all summer - once it gets cold enough I just have to untie it and drop it down.

I bought one last year. Running empty it's fine but pulling I need to remove it. It was a pain trying to get it down into position in the cold after having it tied up for a while. If you don't tow anything I'd go for it. I might try to rig up something to push it into place with but when I need it I don't want to spend much time outside!

I use a Lund winter front and have been very happy with it. It's four plexiglass panels that snap into the honeycomb grill,when it's warmer I just use two of them,they're very easy to remove and install, look good too. You get your 10% opening by leaving the bumper holes open. A friend had the Dodge front,when he saw my Lunds he switched over,said the Dodge front was a hassle. I got mine from JC Whitney less than $40.

I have and like the FIA bra. Comes with a summer bug screen and it has opening flaps which Velcro open in warmer weather. Quilted pattern gives strength and looks good.

Mary Ann's phone #? I don't know but I always liked her better than Ginger. So how cold would it need to be before the use of a cold front would be recommended? Wouldn't the thermostat do the job by closing down?

Benson,I doubt if you ever need a cover in Kern Co. When it get gets below 20 degrees,it sure is nice to have the heater put out warm air,mine barely does it at that temp without a cover let alone at 20 below.

Ron, whats an FIA bra? I sounds like what I had on my GMC. illflem, I think Benson would agree, Kern Co. can get well below 0 in the hills.
